Here in the northeast we recently had a warm spell that lasted all of one night (not quite global warming going from the 20s to 50 deg. but it will do ;).. I usually pick up a fist full of cigars of various brands from time to time from my local cigar guy (paying homage to Satin Jack's Cigar Room), so this time I pulled the Gurkha Legend - Warlord from my humidor for a late afternoon smoke as the sun in its waning hour turned the clouds and the surrounding trees a pale pink and gold.... ahhh the life.. ;-)

Christopher Booker writes a synopsis of his previous year's articles on "Climate Change", "Global Warming", (insert global environmental emergency vernacular here), and comes to the conclusion that the theory, "consensus", religion of Global Warming has indeed collapsed... dare I say "disproved". This is just more proof that Global Warming is nothing more than a fallacy concocted by opportunists...

An article appearing in the Brisbane Courier Mail in Australia (see article here), we find scientists going off the deep end stating that Christmas lights are "harming the planet".... Anything to attack Christmas and Christianity... The Scientists' position is patently ridiculous but they fail to make a connection here. They say that the use of Christmas lights is harmful due to the excessive use of electricity, etc... however, have these idiots even stopped to consider the amount of power their cushy ivory tower offices in Fantasy-Academia-Land consumes during the summer months in Air Conditioning??... Most definitely not..

Is this the same Archbishop of Canterbury who said that Britain should adopt "Sharia Law" some 11 months ago? The same "Sharia Law" that allows for the treatment of people as property, or so called "Honor Killings" without even so much as a "how do you do?" Seems to me that the good Archbishop is not being consistent in his condemnations.

CNN Meteorologist Chad Myers calls the whole notion of man-made global warming 'arrogant' in that we as human beings can have that much influence over this immense engine we call Earth. In the same spirit as other scientists who call into question the "facts" of Global Warming (renamed 'Climate Change' by the Eco-Nazis such as Al Gore since warming isn't happening anymore), the impact of solar activity has not been taken into account in ANY of the computer models used by the proponents of Global Warming.

Democrat Bait and Switch and splitting hairs over technicalities... by that I mean to call a 'tax' a 'fee' is side stepping the law! The democrats dug us this hole, and now they hope to tax the crap out of us to get out of it and in a way that circumvents the law in imposing those taxes. So one has to wonder, is it really legal? I'm sure there will be a challenge in court at some point over this.. or one can only hope... this smacks of "Fees Assessation without Representation"... since Democrats don't seem to represent the people anymore, only what they can get out of them.

We've heard it said a number of times in the last few months that no bad situation shouldn't be used as an opportunity for Government to act... the words of Rahm Emanual, Jon Corzine, and the ever popular in NY.. the Constitution shredding... Charles "Chuck You" Schumer. I find it ironic that Paulson would invent this "credit crisis" in order for Government to gain a "feet" hold in the US banking industry. The irony further comes in the form of an analogy between Paulson, and one of the power seizing antagonists in Atlas Shrugged... specifically Wesley Mouch (embedded irony in that I pronounce the name "Mooch" .. fitting the coming Obama Administration). A character who rises to economic dictator by betrayal and use of other people's connections... specifically Hank Rearden...

In a fit of Journalist schizophrenia... AP suddenly realized that Trickle-Down Economics actually is how a natural economy works. I find it interesting that for the most part, journalists will embrace the liberal/socialist economic mindset, yet when faced with the actual evidence that disproves their view... they embrace it anyway... usually around every election cycle.

What was that quote from Albert Einstein? ... Oh yes... "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result." Sounds like that sums up Obama's Election...
