Monday's Rush Limbaugh Morning Update:
Dateline: 21 December 2009

On a recent flight from New York to Washington, DC, a flight attendant instructed Senator Chuck-U Schumer to turn off his cell phone -- it's a federal regulation that anyone flying commercially has to follow prior to takeoff. Well, Schumer wasn't being singled out, either; everyone who flies knows the drill. Failure to comply can lead to your arrest.

But Chuck-U wasn't in the mood to bother with regulations intended for peasants. He argued with the flight attendant and then called her the B-word: B-I-ITCH. Yeah, he said to her: "B-I-ITCH!" Sitting next to him while this spectacle unfolded was New York's junior Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, who refused to condemn Chuck-U's behavior.

Bombshell! - A Must Read

Friday's Rush Limbaugh Morning Update:
Dateline: 18 December 2009

My friends, this is huge. On Tuesday, Russia's Institute of Economic Analysis reported that the Hadley Centre for Climate Prediction and Research in England had likely tampered with climate data that originated in Russia.

Thursday's Rush Limbaugh Morning Update:
Dateline: 17 December 2009

State-controlled AP reports the debate between Obama and Republicans is "sharpening," with the President accusing Republicans of trying to scare voters by harping on the size of his massive deficits. The AP says that for now, public opinion is mixed – "but if it eventually moves one way or the other, the Party on the short end might suffer in next year's midterm elections."

No Kidding! In his speech at Brookings last week, Obama defended the Porkulus bill – insisting it is too soon to stop government spending meant to create jobs. We all know it hasn't produced jobs...it's a political slush fund. But this quote from Obama says it all: "We have had to spend our way out of this recession," he declared.

Proof Positive

Wednesday's Rush Limbaugh Morning Update:
Dateline: 16 December 2009

Jim Dwyer of the New York Times recently took on New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg for his massive "carbon footprint." Sort of.

Dwyer claims: "A strong case can be made that when it comes to energy and climate issues, Mr. Bloomberg is the most visionary public official in the country." But, Dwyer says, "a strong argument can also be made that on a personal level," Bloomie is one of "the worst individual polluters ever to hold public office."

Peace

CigarJunkie's picture

Friday's Rush Limbaugh Morning Update:
Dateline: 11 December 2009

Well Folks, In light of the ceremonies in Oslo yesterday, I would like to praise a few unsung heroes...who are actually deserving of a "peace prize."

First, a group of people who work in the most dangerous outposts in the world, gathering information in total obscurity: our intelligence people. Despite the constant ingratitude they endure from the left – they stand on the front lines, risking their lives to confront evil...so we, and others nations, can live in peace and security.

Recall

CigarJunkie's picture

Thursday's Rush Limbaugh Morning Update:
Dateline: 10 December 2009

This may be the first and last "product recall" announcement I will ever make. So listen close. The recall extends to three Missouri schools, but it may widen. The questionable products are notebooks and pencils. "Special" notebooks and pencils.

The design includes an image of coins. Above, is the word "Change." Underneath, the phrase: "We Can Believe In." Sound familiar? Below the "Change-We-Can-Believe-In" slogan is a circle: top half blue, bottom half red, three lines cutting through. Yup, just like the Obama campaign logo.

Then and Now

CigarJunkie's picture

Friday's Rush Limbaugh Morning Update:
Dateline: 4 December 2009

In 2005, the Republican Congress sought to reduce Medicare's rate of growth by $6 billion. The AARP went nuts!

They claimed the "cuts" – which weren't cuts – would harm millions of low-income seniors, and millions more who needed long-term care. They accused Republicans of trying to fund the war in Iraq "on the backs of retirees." They threatened Republicans that if the bill became law, "the AARP and its more than 36 million members" would "work tirelessly to hold those accountable for passing such irresponsible policy."

Homocide!

CigarJunkie's picture

Thursday's Rush Limbaugh Morning Update:
Dateline: 3 December 2009

The Ohio State University historian Randolph Roth has researched homicide rates over the last 400 years, and has a new theory. According to Roth, "People's views about the legitimacy of government and how much they identify with their fellow citizens play a major role in how often they kill each other." Roth says his theory explains "why the United States is so homicidal today."

Roth claims conservatives are wrong to think that locking up criminals lowers murder rates. He says if people have trust in government officials -- and feel connected to the rest of society -- murder rates drop. See where this is going?

Hunger Pains

CigarJunkie's picture

Wednesday's Rush Limbaugh Morning Update:
Dateline: 2 December 2009

Compassion, they say, is a virtue. How one demonstrates compassion is another story. Liberals, for instance, love showing up at a food bank on holidays for TV cameras. Liberals in government create massive government programs that ultimately hurt the very people they're supposed to help -- all in the name of compassion. And they ban behaviors that they think will harm the poor unfortunates whom they believe can't (or won't) make the correct choices all by themselves.

America’s Decade from Hell Indeed

C. Rich's picture

I read the article Time Magazine put out “The Decade From Hell” where they sat down and chronicled the last decade in America. I must confess, I didn’t even realize there were only weeks left in this decade. The article was a great one. It starts from the moment of the Y2K madness when we thought all our computers would crash and brought us through all that had happened this last decade.

When I look back at what happened to all of us from 9/11 to Hurricane Katrina and everything else, I must admit Time Magazine is right. I hope the name “Decade From Hell” sticks, because that is just what it was.
