The Problem

CigarJunkie's picture

Tuesday's Rush Limbaugh Morning Update:
Dateline: 9 March 2010

Over the weekend, the Washington Post warned the Democrats that their "ethical lapses" might cost them majorities come November. This followed the resignation of New York Congressman Eric Massa, under investigation for sexually harassing a male staffer, and Charlie Rangel, stepping down from Ways and Means under the weight of his scandals. The steady drip of Democrat corruption stories puts the lie to Pelosi's promise to "run the most ethical Congress in history" and Democrats' promise to "drain the swamp" in Washington.

Monday's Rush Limbaugh Morning Update:
Dateline: 8 March 2010

Recently, my friends, an Iranian appeals court gave its blessing to a death sentence to be carried out against a 20-year-old student. During the riots following the sham election of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the young man threw stones at security forces. For that, he was found guilty of waging war against God. Other students are awaiting the same fate.

Recently, a North Korea factory worker was publicly executed by firing squad. His offense: speaking with a friend in South Korea on an illegal mobile phone. He divulged the price of rice in North Korea. The only comfort is that he has been released from hell on earth.

Worlds Apart

Friday's Rush Limbaugh Morning Update:
Dateline: 5 March 2010

Matthew Goldstein, Chancellor of the City University of New York recently published a very impassioned editorial in the New York Post. Goldstein pleads with the New York legislature not to 'slash' over $100 million from their budget. Eighty-four million would come from the senior colleges another $22 million from community colleges.

Union Dues!

CigarJunkie's picture

Thursday's Rush Limbaugh Morning Update:
Dateline: 4 March 2010

My friends, Forbes just issued a report on the financial health of red and blue states. Those in the worst shape were Illinois, New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey, and they all have some thing in common: governments dominated by liberal Democrats, and unions having greater influence on local economies.

Meanwhile, the Associated Press is reporting that Big Labor is growing a little frustrated with the man-child, President Obama -- this, despite the payback unions got for the $400 million they poured into his election, and despite the ownership stakes Obama gave them in his government-run auto companies... and his sending billions in Porkulus slush funds their way.

Wednesday's Rush Limbaugh Morning Update:
Dateline: 3 March 2010

Last week, Senator Jim Bunning, Kentucky Republican, objected to a last-minute $10 billion bill that included yet another round of unemployment benefits, and funding for highway and transit programs. Since then, Bunning has been demonized by the White House, by Democrats, by union thugs, and the State-Controlled Media for putting people out of work and being coldhearted to the unemployed.

Son of a Cap and Tax

CigarJunkie's picture

Tuesday's Rush Limbaugh Morning Update:
Dateline: 2 March 2010

The Washington Post reports a private meeting was held last week between environmentalist wacko leaders and three senators: Joe Lieberman, Lindsey Grahamnesty, and John Kerry (who, by the way, served in Vietnam). Supposedly, the wacko leaders were told that cap-and-tax, the plan to combat supposed manmade greenhouse gases, was "dead."

The three senators had been working to produce a cap and tax plan to counter the House cap and tax plan, but now, says the Post, they're "engaged in a radical behind-the-scenes overhaul of climate legislation," because the original plan Democrats wanted has become "political poison."

Spitzed

CigarJunkie's picture

Monday's Rush Limbaugh Morning Update:
Dateline: 1 March 2010

Well, looky here, folks. He's back. The still very liberal former governor of New York, Eliot Spitzer (also known as Love Client #9), recently wrote a piece for the online magazine "Hate" -- "Slate." Sorry. Under the headline "Tax Fraud," Spitzer attempts to make the case for -- what else -- higher taxes.

Soaring!

CigarJunkie's picture

Friday's Rush Limbaugh Morning Update:
Dateline: 26 February 2010

Folks, I hope I get through this without throwing up. Many of America's top CEOs belong to the Business Roundtable. This week, Obama showed up there with a speech on competitiveness. He said we should get past the "old debates and crippling divides between right and left, business and labor, private enterprise and the public sector."

"Rather than hurling accusations about big government liberals or mean-spirited conservatives," he said, we must answer tough questions. "Getting this balance right has less to do with big government or small government than it does smart government. It's not about being anti-business or pro-government; it's about being pro-growth and pro-jobs."

State of States

CigarJunkie's picture

Thursday's Rush Limbaugh Morning Update:
Dateline: 25 February 2010

Folks, the financial state of most of these United States is dismal. According to a new report from the Nelson Rockefeller Institute of Government, states' tax revenues last year were down for a fifth straight quarter; it's the longest period of declines since the Great Depression. Prospects for a quick turnaround are also dismal. Why? Well, because in too many of these states, liberals are running the show.

The New Poor

CigarJunkie's picture

Wednesday's Rush Limbaugh Morning Update:
Dateline: 24 February 2010

Well, according to the New York Times, the economy has produced another class of Americans: "The New Poor." These are millions of jobless people, "long accustomed to the comforts of middle-class life," but they're now relying on government assistance to get by for the first time in their lives -- and they'll be relying "for years to come."
