The ASSociated Press has a story this morning "Analysis: He won, but for what?" To their credit, they're actually asking the right question as Journalism should...
The article state the prize seems to be more about "Obama's promise than for his performance" If that were the case that would be like giving the Nobel Prize for Medicine to someone who came up with the idea for a revolutionary drug rather than actually INVENTING the drug. This award reminds me of Al Gore winning last year... for Chicken Littling an event that is now questioned by more scientists as not existing than those who claim it does. Not too mention the recent revelation that the "scientists" who backed the IPCC report did so for financial reasons. (See: http://bighollywood.breitbart.com/dschultz/2009/06/29/obamas-epa-ignores...) ... but we digress...
Think of this as a warning... anyone who claims they possess wisdom greater than that of others, based on a certain set of circumstances or values, is neither wise, nor smart, but very very foolish... and in this case, I would think her underlying premise is to impose her own view of "social justice". Ah that term, the orgasm of the left when they want to stir up people to the point of insurrection over pseudo-issues that really don't exist, but make tools out of minions who have no idea they are being used.
If there was every a more blatant example of BIAS... this is it...
This "Journalist" sees fit to ask a person a question, then in the middle of his answer decides to argue with him! She had no desire to hear this poor guy's answer. She was just looking to embarrass him and make her own point. Then she has the audacity to complain she was being harrassed... that is just plain funny... You go to a rally where people love this nation and don't want to see it destroyed, and you put your disdain for America on display. What did you expect, Ms. Roesgen?
Ms. Roesgen, you're not a journalist... you're a propagandist! In Germany, they have a word for people like you... Sheiskopf!
This showed up in an email... and it is SO SPOT ON it has to be posted...
Whether this is a joke, or someone actually wrote it with its message in mind doesn't matter... I would agree to this 100%
Divorce agreement:
THIS IS SO INCREDIBLY WELL PUT, I CAN HARDLY BELIEVE IT'S BY A YOUNG PERSON, A STUDENT!!! WHATEVER HE RUNS FOR, I'LL VOTE FOR HIM.
Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists,
Marxists and Obama supporters, et al: We have stuck together since the
late 1950's, but the whole of this latest election process has made me
realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many
years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship
has run its course. Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will
Rahm Emanuel.. a real classy guy... NOT!
I recall how childish the Clinton Administration behaved when they entered the White House, and the adolescent comments he would make. Then when the Bush Administration came into the White House, comments were bandied about that the "Grown ups are back in charge". The outgoing Clinton Administration did one final childish act removed all the 'W's from the computer keyboards. Well, folks... here we go again... it seems that when Democrats come to power, the juvenile, adolescent behavior always presents itself. Here we have Obama's Chief of Staff at the Inauguration performing childish gestures... someone give this idiot Ritalin? You wanted change, hehe... boy are you going to get it! ROFL!
Obama at Conservative Dinner Party - Rush Limbaugh "Jets off" to Washington - Coincidence
Ponder Ponder...
Interesting coincidence seems to have surfaced. Jason Lewis of KTLK sat in for Rush yesterday since Rush jetted off to Washington on EIB One for what appeared as an impromptu, super-secret meeting.
Then the story hit that Obama attended a dinner party at George Will's house... Hmmm.... Did Rush attend this dinner to pow wow with the President-Select?
Inquiring minds wanna know!!
***UPDATE: Rush pulls a fast one... ;-) Albeit inadvertently. Apparently, many listeners and the media in general(as we have here) speculated on whether Rush was attending this dinner. Instead, Rush attended a dinner with the President.
Even as Democrats plan on implementing a new round of bailouts along with a massive "Stimulus" plan that will intentionally bankrupt the country, not save it, Democrats are also trying to play down any impact that their efforts will have on the sagging economy.
It could be perhaps that Democrats have finally realized an undeniable truth that can be summed up in a quote by Winston Churchill... "We contend that for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle."
In an article that appeared on Drudge, Berlin, as it has been seeing more and more as as the last almost 30 years or so... the echoes of a dark period that plagued Germany and the world during "World War II". As I read this article I couldn't help but think, "...what's old is new again", and "the more things change the more they stay the same".
We've seen argumentum ad hominem about Global Warming from nearly every quarter of the left including a few 25w bulbs in the centrist/moderate camp. Not to mention, those who portend to be on the Right espousing the talking points of this diatribe... and all completely ignoring the evidence to the contrary, or even the correlary evidence of sunspot activity to the geologic temperature record for the last 600 years. All follow in sync... but... we digress here...
Holidays always have me running behind. But there is always time to bring to light any awareness to the nature of things when it comes to our deepest traditions, no matter how for granted we take them.
Thanksgiving was a day set aside for this nation to honor and thank God for the blessings and prosperity we have enjoyed, from the time before George Washington proclaimed it a national day, to the present. Though its been secularized with pilgrims, indians, turkey etc... lets not forget the true meaning.
