Sotomayor: The "Wise" Latina
Think of this as a warning... anyone who claims they possess wisdom greater than that of others, based on a certain set of circumstances or values, is neither wise, nor smart, but very very foolish... and in this case, I would think her underlying premise is to impose her own view of "social justice". Ah that term, the orgasm of the left when they want to stir up people to the point of insurrection over pseudo-issues that really don't exist, but make tools out of minions who have no idea they are being used.
When I heard Ms. Sotomayor's comments to that effect.. "I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would, more often than not, reach a better conclusion.... than a white male who hasn't lived that life" I literally about fell out of my chair, and frankly.. its probably the most racist comment anyone can possibly make. And first off, lets dispense with that term "reverse racism"... it is what it is... coming from a white person, black, asian, latino(a), or purple with pink polka dots... doesn't matter.
A judge, must NEVER invoke personal experience, personal feeling, or even her own personal racism into ANY decision that is made. This is to impose the exact opposite of "equal justice under the law". This includes any notion of "legislating or making policy from the bench"... as she has stated in the past as well.
This is an absolute travesty of the court for any judge to proclaim they are the policy makers... though she dismisses the comment with a wink and a nod. This is how oligarchies are imposed. A tyranny like any other.
