Government Stupidity And Global Warming - Punitive Taxation Of Our Dairy, Beef Cattle, Hogs

We've seen argumentum ad hominem about Global Warming from nearly every quarter of the left including a few 25w bulbs in the centrist/moderate camp. Not to mention, those who portend to be on the Right espousing the talking points of this diatribe... and all completely ignoring the evidence to the contrary, or even the correlary evidence of sunspot activity to the geologic temperature record for the last 600 years. All follow in sync... but... we digress here...

This latest tidbit of Government Stupidity run amok follows on the heels of the exiting Bush Administration, which will no doubt find absolute support in the coming Obamanomics. What is this glittering jewel of colossal ignorance and stupidity that I speak of? ... It is the punitive taxation of our FOOD SUPPLY!! Ranchers and farmers over a certain number of cattle, dairy cows, hogs will pay an annual tax on each animal they own over a certain number... to be exact, here are the figures and I quote from the article:

"It would require farms or ranches with more than 25 dairy cows, 50 beef cattle or 200 hogs to pay an annual fee of about $175 for each dairy cow, $87.50 per head of beef cattle and $20 for each hog.

The executive vice president of the Wyoming Farm Bureau Federation, Ken Hamilton, estimated the fee would cost owners of a modest-sized cattle ranch $30,000 to $40,000 a year. He said he has talked to a number of livestock owners about the proposals, and "all have said if the fees were carried out, it would bankrupt them."

Does this strike anyone as even remotely smart? The accurate term is STUPID...DUMB... IDIOTIC... LUNACY... INSANITY... etc... ad infinitum! If you think I'm angry about this... you're right... but you just wait... the anger I feel is also being felt across the country... and it will get worse. Americans have tolerated these shenanigans up until now. But I think their patience is at an end. Its one thing to "piss" people off with complaints by democrats such as Obama during the election that gas prices are too low... followed by various Democrat-sponsored policies that drove fuel prices up and the economy in the tank... it will be an entirely different story when we start IMPORTING OUR FOOD, making us dependent on foreign producers with NONE of the food safety standards we have here. People who start coming down with serious diseases that will be imported from other parts of the world. That sound quite appealing to me. The deer population will be in jeopardy where I live year round to be sure.

There is an old adage... "Those who can't... teach"... well its important to note that the very same pseudo-intellectuals that work in academia, also work in government... This type of thinking/action speaks volumes to the notion that the best and brightest DON'T work in Government. They always work in the private sector... and are the ones who get results.

Chalk up another shining point of light in the argument that liberalism is a mental disorder.
