US Gov't Owes a WHOPPING $63.8 Trillion... That's with a 'T'

USA Today did a little computing... tough task for Journalism, since they don't know their ass from the cake hole they stuff their food in...

But the numbers are not disturbing, their just plain Scary! To quote from the article:

"USA TODAY used federal data to compute all government liabilities, from Treasury bonds to Medicare to military pensions.

Bottom line: The government took on $6.8 trillion in new obligations in 2008, pushing the total owed to a record $63.8 trillion."

Now lets think about that number for a minute... that is 68 TRILLION WITH A BIG 'T'!!! There is no way on God's green Earth that we can pay this back, or even do service to the interest on this debt in coming years. Even if we stopped all government programs and used the tax revenue to pay back the debt, it would would take nearly a century to pay it off!! That's not just our kids but at least 2 generations hence are in for an abismal existence!

Folks, the Federal Gov't is supposed to be an agent of the states, not vice versa... this needs to be stopped and done so yesterday!

USA TODAY: Leap in U.S. debt hits taxpayers with 12% more red ink
