Gurkha Signature 1887 Black Rothchilds
While browsing through my cigar guy's walk-in humidor, I came across this little jewel parked right next door to the Gurkha Red Rothchilds... the appearance was darker than the Red's Connecticut shade wrapper... so I thought I'd give this one a test drive.
The Gurkha Black Rothchilds consists of a Peruvian and Indian filler, a Dominican Binder, and a Nicaraguan wrapper. It measures 6" with a 55 ring guage. The Black contrasts the Red with a fuller-bodied flavor just short of the spicy notes, yet is a very smooth smoke. I've become a big fan of these cigars, where there is a flavor depending on your taste for the evening (or morning... afternoon... etc..)
Looks like I'll be spending a little more time in the Gurkha section on my next visit. ;-)
