Folks... be advised that after reading this article... I was quite P.O.'d.. so the RED I was seeing made its way to the keyboard.

So the vacuous pseudo-leadership begins. Obama thinks its just that simple to "reboot America's image.".. as if America was an installation of Windows.

In addition, the article is somewhat misleading to this degree that any hit that America's image has taken, falls squarely at the feet of the Main Stream Media... garbage in... garbage out....

Quoting from the article:

"The U.S. image globally has taken a deep hit during President Bush's two terms in office, primarily because of opposition to the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq, harsh interrogation of prisoners, the indefinite detention of terrorist suspects at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and mistreatment of inmates at the Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq."

Many of these terrorists were captured red-handed on the battlefield, and their countries of origin DO NOT WANT THEM BACK! Now do you think there is a reason why? Hmmm... perhaps because they're TERRORISTS!! The torture techniques they make out to be so heinous like garroting the prisoner, using a car battery on their testicles, or the ever popular bamboo under the fingernails. NONE of these techniques sensationalized in films from days gone by are ever used by the US. Waterboarding, sleep deprivation, and the so-called mistreatment of the prisoners at Abu-Ghraib looked more like a plebe hazing incident at Princeton than "torture" of prisoners. Worse happens at our colleges than what these guys received.

In addition, his lack of understanding of foreign affairs and the nature of the middle-east borders on kindergarten. His blatant violation of the Logan Act when he attempted to convince Iraq to wait until after the Inauguration to negotioate troop withdrawals...

What is the Logan Act? Quote "The Logan Act is a United States federal law that forbids unauthorized citizens from negotiating with foreign governments. It was passed in 1799 and last amended in 1994. Violation of the Logan Act is a felony, punishable under federal law with imprisonment of up to three years.

Obama had NO such authority during his July trip to Iraq.

Another example is from this statement below.

"It's something I intend to follow through on," Obama said in an interview published Wednesday in the Chicago Tribune and the Los Angeles Times. "We've got a unique opportunity to reboot America's image around the world and also in the Muslim world in particular. So we need to take advantage of that."

He wishes to go on a "Kum Ba Yah" happy-trails trip to the Middle East and give a speech in a Muslim Capital. His lack of understanding is apparent in that in the Mid-East culture... coming with your hands open is a sign of weakness. They will see his gestures as just that, and declare victory over America (and Israel by proxy). This will serve only to embolden them... not placate them. This is not a western culture like going to talk to France, Germany, or even Japan. This is a culture that still has deep roots in medieval Arabia, and they respect strength... not negotiations. I have been to the middle east many times, and this has been explained over and over.

Obama will.. intentionally or not... declare our surrender to the terrorists.
