Republican Saxby Chambliss Beats Dem Jim Franklin in GA Senate Race

In a race that started as a three-way contest that triggered a runoff election, Saxby Chambliss beat Jim Martin handily with almost 20% more votes. The Atlanta Urinal & Constipation has a story detailing the election.

This win for the Republicans busts the chances for a Democrat "supermajority" which would trump any chance for Republicans to filibuster liberal legislation.

This will certainly test Obama as to how he will interact with Republicans.
