Sen. Charles "Chuck" Schumer Compares Conservative Talk Radio To Pornography And In Need of Regulation

In an interview with Fox News this morning, Bill Hemmer hammered a few pointed questions on the pending Fairness Doctrine and how this would quell free speech. Schumer's response was to compare talk radio to pornography which is heavily curtailed. He further went on to state that those who want pornography regulated are the same people who don't want the Fairness Doctrine...
Ok... Wha? Apparently, Schumer is keeping close to his heart the statement I've heard him say numerous times, (Obama has alluded to this premise as well) "If it wasn't for the Constitution we could get a lot of things done." Free Speech in Schumer's mind is only allowed if he agrees with it. Liberal talk radio such as Air America went down in flames because "NO ONE LISTENED!" Just as blogs are dominated by liberals, so talk radio has been dominated by conservatives. Now there has been talk that the Fairness Doctrine will apply to the Internet as well... Will that mean that the Huffington Post and DailyKos will be required to have equal balance in its posts as well?
It will be interesting to see just how far the government will violate the Bill of Rights...
