Good Friday's Rush Limbaugh Morning Update:
Dateline: 2 April 2010

Well, now that the liberals have achieved their hundred-year dream with the passage of Obamacare, they are becoming more frank about their true objectives.

The New York Times, for instance, published a story with this headline: "In Health Bill, Obama Attacks Wealth Inequality". The Times calls the bill "the federal government's biggest attack on economic inequality since inequality began rising more than three decades ago." The Times proudly declares that "the benefits" will "flow" to households earning $88,000 a year for a family of four -- that's four times the poverty level.

But here's the nut quote: "The ways in which the bill attacks the inequality of the Reagan era -- whether you love them or hate them -- will probably be around for a long time."

Now, let's clarify. This isn't the "federal government's" biggest attack on wealth inequality -- it's the Democrat Party's biggest attack on the American economy and the Reagan legacy, which, simply put, was prosperity. Liberals hated Reagan and the era of prosperity he ushered in, and they’ve been hell-bent on destroying it for 30 years. Under Obama, families earning 88 grand a year are now welfare clients? In an FDR replay, Democrats hope to retain power by making middle-class Americans dependent serfs.

But as long as there is a spark of greatness in the American people, there will be a battle against Obama's attempts to transform our society into a permanent welfare state with Democrats in charge of our lives. And you can take that to the bank... at least while banks are still around. (Ahem.)
