We all heard statements like “This is Obama’s War” or “This is Obama’s recession” and many statements that are made by people to transpose Bush’s nightmares upon him. These kinds of comments are meant to portray the idea that after a while there is no more excuse for him or no way he can just keep blaming Bush for everything. All of it of course deserved, because never before in American history have we ever seen a US President keep blaming the guy before him to such a degree.

Most presidents, of course, have done this but never to the level of President Obama and his crybaby opera that he has been singing since before he was even sworn in. Of all the Bush problems that was passed down to this crybaby of a president of ours, nothing and I mean nothing, was more devastating to Bush then the Katrina aftermath. How on earth Obama could transpose that Bush apathy that was so singularly George’s identity and wrap himself in that cloth of failure is beyond me. However that is just what Obama did.

That trip to New Orleans on October 15th, 2009 needs to be recorded on everyone’s calendar as the very day Obama lost his bid for reelection. The stain of him standing up there and telling that crowd that the Constitution prevents him from writing a check, so New Orleans can have a full service hospital, will never go away. No amount of spin or later retractions or anything at all, will be successful in hiding what a slap in the face to everyone that was.

katrina2We all sat back and watched him write checks to Wall Street all day long, but hides behind the Constitution when it comes to giving the people of New Orleans a functioning full service hospital. Forget the fact that he only stays for a few hours. Forget the fact that he never went to the other Gulf States wiped out from Katrina. Forget the fact it took him nine months to even get down there. You can even forget the fact that after his Katrina fly by, he took off to a San Francisco fundraiser at thirty-four thousand dollars a plate for each couple.

No, my dear readers, when he stood up there and looked that guy in the eye at that town hall and said “What do you want me to do, I wish I could write a check” he bought and now owns the failure of Katrina. Katrina is his and no back steps will change how that made Americans feel. That was the very moment in history that historians will look back and say, “This is when he lost it all.” It was something so simple. It is something that everyone can understand. “I wish I could write a check,” will over shadow the ” It is the economy, stupid” as the most famous comment in modern American politics and if it doesn’t, the Republican Party has lost any kind of sense of how to win.

Mr. President, I say to you, “It’s Katrina, stupid” and don’t you ever forget that. From this point on The Republican Party is being handed the next two national elections. It is simple my friends from the Right. Rebuild New Orleans!!!!!!!!!!! Make New Orleans and the restoration of that great American city your rallying call. Get your ass down there and show them you care! Get your ass down there and keep going back until you fixed that city in front of everyone’s eyes. Keep going back until you ride that wave of gratitude back to power.

He is going to try to backtrack and make this better when he realizes the damage he did that day. Hold him to the fire. Do not let this go. They never let it go with Bush. This thundering apathy even had Democrats recoiling in their seats. Even the left was shocked and stunned on this selling out, on such a grand scale. They will help him cover this up but never stop showing that tape.

I searched everywhere on the internet to provide the video of him saying this and could only find this one video with some handheld camera in terrible quality. Now why is that? How is that possible? If George Bush had stood in the middle of New Orleans and had stated that he wished he could “just write a check” that thundering hypocrisy and apathy would have been played on every news channel, looped all day long for days. This is a softball thrown at the republicans that they could hit out of the park. If they don’t pounce on this, they deserve the failure they so much have grown accustomed to.

Never let this go. Put that city back on its feet. Be responsible for getting the most high tech levee in the world built there. Build a levee that would make the Netherlands look like Romper Room. You get a great levee built there and private investment will return. Schedule the Republican National Convention there now. Everyone desirous for the return of the Right do as I say. Do every TV show and radio show from there as much as possible. This is being handed to you on a silver platter.

Do it because it is the right thing to do and to hell with politics. It is simple. I say to everyone who has ears to hear and eyes to read, “It is Katrina, stupid”!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now go and do it!

OH.. Please!!...

... SOMEBODY send a copy of this to Bobby Jindal!!

Mr. Rich is absolutely correct... the unfortunate part is that the Obama Ministry of State Media won't cover this in any serious detail if at all. However, there is hope... there are a number of leftie pundits who are now starting to question the playing of the 'Bush' card as too much and too often where that playing card looks pretty wrinkly by now. The same goes for the race card. Its to the point where calling someone a racist now is replied with a 'yawn'.

Pretty soon, he has to stand on his own two feet. It won't be long, his quiver only had two arrows in it.. one labeled 'Bush' the other labeled 'Race' and he's shot them both.... Now what, Barack?
