Office Space in NYC at 25% Vacancy

I work in NYC most days during the week. (I wish I could just blog full time. LOL) And I have to tell you, I think the vacancies are noticeable in the form of "peeps on the street" and people on NJ Transit trains into the city. It does seem like there are fewer people in the last few months. Last spring/summer space on the trains was at a premium. Now there is much more space available.
In and of itself, a 25% vacancy in NYC seems ominous... that is an AWFUL LOT of office space to be vacant in a city that is supposed to be THE place to do business.
Well…of course, they are fleeing NYC. Bloomberg let it out of the bag that only 40,000 paid taxes to run the city. Can anyone say Atlas Shrugged!?
Also, with the stock market, bank industry, and other industries collapsing, NYC is the home base for all them. When they go under, no more offices will be rented.

He's breaking wind, belching, puking, and has is on the verge of a double stroke and heart attack!
Oh and with socialized medicine... the celestial rationing board has stated he is too sick for treatment and should be allowed to die... like in Britain.
